A graduate of both Wake Forest University and its acclaimed law school, Paul Bidwell was a prosecutor for the first five years of his career. Entering private practice in 1991, he has litigated some of highest profile cases in Western North Carolina in the last thirty years, in both State and Federal Court. In addition to his criminal and civil litigation practice, Paul maintains an office practice providing advice and services for individuals and corporate clients alike

Paul has been married to Carolyn Cameron Bidwell since 1988. Their children are Katherine, a graduate of Wofford College with a Masters Degree from Azusa Pacific University and a High School teacher in Charleston, South Carolina; and Patrick who is an Assistant District Attorney in Alamance County and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina. Paul and his family have been residents of the Fairview community and the Reynolds school district since 1997.
