Paul A. Tershel, Esquire, is a highly credentialed, experienced personal injury attorney who focuses his practice on serious injury cases resulting from medical malpractice, automobile accidents, defective products and injuries to workers on-the-job.
In practice since 1979, Mr. Tershel is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. He has also received an “AV” Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, the highest rating a lawyer can receive from his peers, attesting to his legal ability and professional ethics. A honors graduate of the University of Virginia, he received his law degree from Duquesne University in 1979 and is admitted to practice in all Common Pleas and Appellate courts in the State of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court of Western District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He also has been admitted to appear pro hac vice in the States of California and West Virginia.
Mr. Tershel is a member of the Washington and Allegheny County Bar Associations, American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
He serves as Senior Counsel to the American College and College of Master Advocates and Barristers, is a member of the Million Dollar Advocated Forum, is a member and past president (2004) of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and is and is a member and has served as Chairman of the Washington County Bar Association Civil Rules Committee.
Mr. Tershel has served as Solicitor for the Washington County Housing Authority and is a Washington County Civil Mediator.
Born in Charleroi, Pa., he now lives in North Strabane Township.
