Peter Dreyer represents families who have lost loved ones as a result of medical malpractice, drowning incidents, trucking collisions and fires. Since joining the firm in 2001, he has recovered more than $200 million for his clients.

In the last several years, Peter has won a $5 million jury verdict on behalf of a wife and her husband in a medical malpractice case; settled medical malpractice cases for $8.4 million, $7.9 million, $7.25 million, $7 million, $6.5 million and $5 million; recovered $10.4 million for a brain-injured drowning victim; and achieved a settlement of $11.85 million for a catastrophically injured person struck by a motor vehicle.

In 2012, Peter appeared before the Connecticut Supreme Court and successfully argued the medical malpractice case Downs v. Trias et al. 

Peter is a former Assistant District Attorney of Bronx County, New York, the fifth largest prosecutor’s office in the United States. He tried criminal defendants for offenses including murder, armed robbery and gang assault, conducted numerous grand jury investigations and prosecuted juvenile defendants charged with the most serious felony crimes.

Best Lawyers selected Peter as Lawyer of the Year, Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs, in 2022 and Lawyer of the Year, Product Liability Litigation - Plaintiffs, in 2020.
