Renee Y. Tucker is a trial attorney who has a diverse background of experience. For two decades, she has litigated cases throughout the State of Georgia, first as a defense attorney, and for the last nine years, as a plaintiffs' attorney. Renee specializes in personal injury litigation, particularly medical malpractice, commercial vehicle liability, premises liability, and general negligence cases involving wrongful death and catastrophic injury.
Renee is recognized as a skilled litigator and a passionate and zealous advocate. She believes that a successfully handled case is one that is tried or settled to its assessed value. This requires prompt and skilled investigation, which includes ensuring that primary witnesses are identified and interviewed early and documentary evidence obtained and analyzed. It also requires the identification of any hurdles to a successful resolution and formulating the most effective and persuasive strategy to overcome those hurdles. In 2010, Renee was selected as one of Georgia Rising Stars in Atlanta Magazine/Law and Politics, voted by her peers as one of Atlanta's best young lawyers.
Renee grew up in Atlanta. She obtained her undergraduate degree from DePauw University (Greencastle, Indiana) and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law (Athens, Georgia) where she served on the Journal of International and Comparative Law and several Moot Court Teams. At the University of Georgia, Renee was named to the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2001.
Renee is admitted to: the Georgia Bar, Georgia Court of Appeals; Supreme Court of Georgia; U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia; U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia; U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia; the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; and the Supreme Court of the United States. Renee is also a certified Mediator.
