Bo Bruner has been lead and/or co-counsel in numerous cases resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements, some in excess of ten million dollars. He has successfully handled cases involving serious personal injury, wrongful death, defective/dangerous products, eighteen-wheeler accidents, dangerous roadsides, industrial accidents, pharmaceutical injuries, consumer fraud and environmental contamination.

Mr. Bruner is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Advocate. Requirements for board certification include, documentation of significant trial experience, peer review by lawyers and judges and the successful completion of an extensive written examination. Mr. Bruner is rated ?AV Preeminent? by Martindale Hubble. This is the highest rating available and indicates ?that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.? In 2012 Mr. Bruner was selected by the National Trial Lawyers for membership in the ?Top 40 under 40.? Membership in this group is limited to the top 40 trial lawyers under the age of 40 in the state of Alabama who ?exemplify superior qualifications, trial results and leadership.? Alabama Super Lawyers Magazine selected Mr. Bruner as a Rising Star in the field of Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law in both 2011 and 2012.

Education:

Mr. Bruner earned dual undergraduate degrees from Appalachian State University and graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston Salem, North Carolina. While at Wake Forest, Mr. Bruner served as Captain of the National Trial Team, President of the Student Trial Bar, and a member of the Moot Court Board. During law school Mr. Bruner received the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers' Most Outstanding Advocate Award. Upon graduation he was selected for membership in the Order of the Barristers and received the Robert Goldberg Award for Trial Advocacy, Wake Forest's highest trial advocacy honor.

Licenses / Admissions:

Mr. Bruner is licensed to practice law in both Alabama and North Carolina. While he regularly handles cases throughout the state of Alabama, Mr. Bruner has been extensively involved in serious cases elsewhere.

Professional Affiliations:

Mr. Bruner is a member of both the Alabama and North Carolina State Bars. He is also a member of the Alabama Association for Justice (executive committee member), the American Association for Justice, the Birmingham Bar Association, the American Judicature Society and the American Inns of Court's Birmingham Chapter.

Professional Experience:

Prior to joining the Belt Law Firm in 2011, Mr. Bruner practiced for a number of years at two other Birmingham firms where he gained valuable experience representing individuals and families harmed by the carelessness of others.

Personal:

Mr. Bruner and his wife Brooke live in the Birmingham area and have two daughters, Caroline and Kate.
