Scott Butler graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2010. After graduating from law school, he immediately began working as a trial lawyer. Within his first year of practice, he won two jury trials - with verdicts totaling well over $100,000. Scott moved from Milwaukee to La Crosse and worked as the La Crosse County Circuit Court Law Clerk and Small Claims Mediator. He then went back into civil litigation in 2012 as an associate at Fitzpatrick, Skemp and Associates. In 2016, he was promoted to partner and shareholder of Fitzpatrick, Skemp & Associates, LLC. He practices exclusively in the areas of personal injury, premise liability, and workers' compensation.
In addition to serving clients at his firm, Scott is active within the legal community. He is an active member of Wisconsin Association for Justice and the La Crosse County Bar Association and has given numerous presentations at conferences to share information with his colleagues. Scott also volunteers his legal skills to New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Center (organization that serves individuals and families who are experiencing domestic violence) and Legal Action of La Crosse.
