Shamon Moss was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies. She earned her Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law. While attending SLU, she worked as an intern at the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, advocating for low-income families to receive government benefits. Additionally, she interned at the St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she advocated for sex crime victims by assisting prosecutors in building their cases.
Prior to her time at the Holland Law Firm, she opened the first office in Missouri for Morgan & Morgan. She focused on personal injury cases, including motor vehicle crashes, premise liability, wrongful death cases, animal bites, and claims against the government. Prior to her work with Morgan & Morgan, she practiced complex asbestos litigation cases for three years at Rasmussen, Dickey & Moore.
Shamon is a distinguished member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She earned notable recognition for her exceptional contributions to the legal field, including being named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2021. In 2022, she received the Delux Power 100 award, honoring the region's 100 most inspiring community leaders. She was also recognized as a Best Lawyer: One to Watch in 2023, and recently, in 2024, she was listed among the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Shamon joined the Holland Law Firm in 2021, where she works across the firm’s mass tort practice areas. She also leads the firm's new collaboration with the Tabernacle Community Development Corporation, aimed at offering free legal services to the residents of North St. Louis through a newly established community center known as The Hub.
Outside of the office, Shamon enjoys reading, traveling, and shopping for just about anything!
