Attorney Shannon J. Marino was born and raised in Central Florida. Always a fan of the Seminoles football team, she attended Florida State University, graduating with her bachelor's degree in international business in 2004. Shannon went on to obtain her Masters in Business Administration from Stetson University and law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Shannon worked throughout high school and college in the real estate industry. In law school, she was a legal intern providing probate services and guardianships for disabled individuals.
After moving to Colorado, she successfully worked for a large firm handling hundreds of personal injury cases, including death and severe brain injury cases. Shannon enjoyed litigation and the families she worked for, but quickly noticed there were holes in the legal industry. You see, she saw firsthand how devastating it was for families dealing with death, or the incapacity of a loved one, when the proper estate planning wasn't in place. Even when planning was in place, Shannon saw the plans fail her clients in their time of need. When the plans failed, it usually led her clients into court and increased family conflict.
Shannon knew there had to be a better way to provide legal services to families before tragedy struck. She realized that it was not only important to protect a family’s financial wealth, but also their legacies. When individuals face incapacity or death, their values and family history are often lost. Her past clients frequently included war veterans, immigrants, and everyday people with fascinating family histories, that disappeared over time. As the daughter of an immigrant and western pioneers, she understood more than most the need for families to preserve their stories as well as their financial assets. They need to preserve their legacies.
Shannon built her practice around the notion of helping young families with children put plans in place, so their loved ones were protected and cared for in the event of incapacity or death. Shannon lives in Castle Rock, Colorado with her husband Alex. Shannon and Alex have three children, Charlotte, Owen, and Wyatt. ​In her free time, Shannon enjoys reading and writing novels. If she isn't camping in the mountains of Colorado, she is traveling to visit family in New Mexico, Nebraska, and Florida.
