Shashi S. Jairam is committed to serving citizens of Palm Beach County through dedicated and fair representation. Mr. Jairam brings tremendous experience, education and "know how" to represent his clients. He is a former Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County and a US Air Force Retired Military Officer with 20 years in law enforcement. He graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Law and has a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Maryland.

As a former Prosecutor, Mr. Jairam handled thousands of cases such as, Driving Under the Influence, Narcotics Possession, Grand Theft, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Attempted First Degree Murder. Mr. Jairam has done over 50 trials before 10 different judges. He served as Division Chief for a County Court Criminal Division. Mr. Jairam was first in his year group to be promoted to a Felony Division. He is well respected by prosecutors, defense attorneys and judges alike for being fair-minded, reliable, knowledgeable and professional. Mr. Jairam is a member of the Federal Bar, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Jairam clerked at the United States Attorney's Office in Baltimore Maryland where he worked on a $3.8M tax fraud case and authored a Habeas Corpus response under the "Safety Valve" departure pursuant 18 USC § 3553(f). Mr. Jairam also clerked at the State Attorney's Office in Anne Arundel County Maryland where he conducted legal research, wrote motions, legal memorandums, briefs, and answers. He also completed a criminal defense clinic in Baltimore.

Military Background:

Major Shashi S. Jairam, USAF, Retired, entered active duty in 1989 as a law enforcement officer. He was commissioned through the Officer Training School in 1994. He retired from the military in 2008. Major (Ret) Jairam is a veteran security forces officer with experience in nuclear related duties and has an extensive background in law enforcement.

His last assignment was the Deputy Chief, Nuclear and Physical Security, HQ Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, DC, where he was responsible for developing security policies affecting the Department of Defense largest nuclear arsenal, 87 Air Force installations, 33,000 Security Forces Airmen, and billions of dollars in national security assets.

Major (Ret) Jairam served in Operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Southern Watch. He performed duties as Assistant Professor and Commandant of Cadets, Operations Flight Commander, Officer In-Charge of Plans and Intelligence, Security Flight Commander and Nuclear Convoy Commander, and Desk Sergeant and Patrolman. He completed assignments in Montana, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Maryland, Washington DC, New Jersey, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
