Steven J. German is a founding partner of the firm. He has extensive experience in complex civil litigation, with concentration in the areas of environmental, class action, mass tort and personal injury. He is an adjunct professor at Pace Law School, where he teaches a course in environmental and toxic tort litigation. Mr. German's cases have been covered by television, radio and print media across the United States. Mr. German represents victims in motor vehicle, trip and fall, premises liability, construction, defective drugs, environmental contamination, property damage, breach of contract, consumer fraud and affinity fraud cases.
- Court-appointed Plaintiffs' Settlement Class Counsel in Latta v. Hannibal Board of Public Works, a class action settlement valued over $5,000,000 in which his legal team secured drinking water remediation and medical monitoring for residents of Hannibal, MO exposed to trihalomethanes. (2018)
- Plaintiffs' counsel in Duarte, et al., v. United States Metals Refining Co., et al., alleging property damage and exposure caused by defendants' improper release and failure to remediate lead and other smelter-related contaminants in Carteret, NJ. (2017)
- Plaintiffs' counsel in Jerue, et al., v. Drummond Company, Inc., alleging property damage and exposure caused by defendants' improper release, reclamation and failure to remediate radioactove waste in Central Florida. (2017)

- Appointed by Governor Christie as Special Counsel to the State of New Jersey in connection with natural resource damage litigation against ExxonMobil. (2015 settlement of $225,000,000)
- Plaintiffs'_ counsel in Roeder v. Atlantic Richfield, Co., a class action settlement valued at $20,000,000 that provided water extension to desert community and cash payments in connection with mining contamination in domestic drinking water wells in Nevada. (2014)
- Court-appointed Plaintiffs'_ Co-Lead Interim Class Counsel in In Re Behr Dayton Thermal Products, LLC Litigation, concerning contaminated groundwater and vapor intrusion at 500+ properties in Ohio. (2011)
- Plaintiffs' counsel in MDL 1358: In Re MTBE Products Liability Litigation. Represented drinking water providers across the U.S. in connection with contamination of their water supply wells with the gasoline additive MTBE. Recovered $423,000,000 for the filtration of drinking water. (2004-2008)
- Appointed Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Mexico in connection with groundwater contamination claims. (2006)
- Trial team in Interfaith Community Org. v. Honeywell. Trial and appellate victories resulted in one of the nation's largest environmental cleanups of soil, groundwater and river sediments valued over $400,000,000. (2004)
