In the many years I have practiced criminal defense, I have effectively developed a set of strategies that has proven to be effective in my representation.
I am a graduate of Indiana State University (B.A. Criminal Justice) and University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D., Civil Litigation Program). During law school, I clerked for both the Allegheny County Public Defender's Office and Eddy Osterman and DeLuca. After graduating law school and prior to becoming managing partner at Eddy DeLuca Gravina & Townsend, I worked full time as an Assistant Public Defender handling thousands of cases from arrest to verdict.
I serve as a Criminal Justice Act Panel Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania District Court and have served in the office of Conflict Counsel Panel for Beaver County. As a Pittsburgh criminal defense attorney, I frequently I speak at seminars and continuing education symposiums to educate and update other attorneys in the ever-changing area of criminal law. In 2010, I was part of the task force responsible for creating one of the country's first ever Veteran's Courts.
Also, I am proud to be a Board Member for a nationally recognized business incubator, Riverside Center for Innovation, in Pennsylvania. I am also general counsel for several small and start-up companies. My counsel is often provided at a discounted rate in order to help facilitate and grown businesses in Pittsburgh.
