Who Are You?
Hi, I’m Susan Lawson, Partner at the Rossen Law Firm. I was born and raised in South Florida and have been practicing criminal defense for over 13 years. The majority of my practice has been in South Florida but I have also practiced in Maryland and the District of Columbia. I have handled thousands of cases and have tried more than 100 jury trials ranging from driving and drug offenses to sexual battery and homicide cases.
Where did you go to school?
I received a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. I received my juris doctor degree from Saint Thomas University School of Law where I was a member of the International Moot Court and Intercultural Human Rights Law Review.
Why did you become a lawyer?
I have always loved to litigate and help others. I knew I could use my voice, knowledge, skills, and passion to zealously advocate and make a difference in the lives of others.

What do you do when you’re not working at the Rossen Law Firm?
I spend my time with my husband, two young sons, and english and french bulldogs. We are a baseball family who loves to spend time on the field.
