Prior to joining Sobo & Sobo Law, Mr. Hyland was an attorney for another prestigious personal injury law firm in Chicago where he handled medical malpractice, sexual abuse, nursing home, motor vehicle, and premises liability cases. He has obtained numerous large settlements on behalf of his clients. Additionally, as a former Cook County Prosecutor, Mr. Hyland has extensive litigation experience and has tried over ten jury trials to verdict and hundreds of bench trials. Mr. Hyland takes great pride in holding large corporations and insurance companies accountable for their actions and obtaining essential compensation for those innocently injured. Thomas J. Hyland was raised on the southside of Chicago and currently resides in the Bridgeport neighborhood with his wife and two children. Mr. Hyland comes from a blue-collar background and is the grandson of a battalion chief of the Chicago Fire Department. As such, hard work and the desire to help others are attributes that were ingrained into Mr. Hyland at a young age.Â
