Tyler first came to Huntington, WV while in law school and decided to make the area his home. From 2010 until 2014, he represented individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of legal matters in state and federal courts across West Virginia and Ohio. His practice experience encompasses personal injury, medical malpractice litigation, products liability litigation, legal malpractice claims, insurance defense, railroad defense, and various other related matters.
In 2014, Tyler took a break from practicing law to serve on active duty as an officer in the United States Army. His assignments were primarily in infantry and special operations units, most recently with 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. After leaving active duty in May 2018, Tyler transitioned to serving as a judge advocate with the West Virginia Army National Guard while simultaneously opening Haslam Law Firm LLC. He now focuses his practice on personal injury, civil litigation, OVI/DUI defense, and felony criminal defense.
Tyler and his wife Marla live in Huntington with their three children and dog. In his spare time, Tyler continues to occasionally fall out of high-performance airplanes in an awkward manner.
