Will is a Raleigh, NC-based trial Lawyer who represents exclusively individuals/plaintiffs in the litigation of injury and wrongful death claims across all of North Carolina. He has a proven track record with cases litigated in the Superior Court Divisions of 42 of NC's 100 counties (jury trials to verdict in 10 different counties), all U.S. Federal Court District Courts in NC (Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts), and the North Carolina Industrial Commission. 

Will has successfully negotiated and/or litigated claims with all major insurance carriers and most defense firms throughout central and eastern NC. Will is frequently selected by fellow attorneys to serve as an Arbitrator in the binding arbitration of contractual disputes typically involving insurance coverage. He speaks at continuing legal education (CLE) seminars, where he teaches other attorneys the ins and outs of civil litigation, trial work, and insurance coverage. Attorneys and law firms across the State frequently associate with Will and his law partner Kimberly Miller to serve as co-counsel in the litigation of their own clients' injury/death claims. 

Will has been recognized in SuperLawyers Magazine for each of the last 8 years. In 2024 and 2025, he was named to SuperLawyers' Top 100 in North Carolina list. 

Will is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which has membership limited to attorneys who have won million-dollar and multi-million-dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements. Several of Owens & Miller's cases/settlements have been featured in Lawyer's Weekly Magazine over the years. 

Will has an AV Rating by Martindale Hubble, and is an active member of the NC Advocates for Justice, as well as the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America (APITLA), which is a national organization of committed attorneys who have joined together to help eliminate unsafe and illegal interstate trucking practices.

In 2017, Will was admitted by Chief Justice John Roberts to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
