Will Underwood is a proud veteran of the United States Naval Submarine Service, where he received numerous awards and commendations while serving as a nuclear reactor operator. Following his military service, he completed a BS degree in Economics, Summa Cum Laude, at the College of Charleston in 1990, preparing him to fight for your rights in the courtroom.
Additional collegiate honors include:
- The Fanchon Morrow Condon Award for outstanding performance in Business and Economics
- College of Charleston’s Outstanding Student Award, 1990, in Business and Economics
- Membership in the Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies
Will completed his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Houston Law Center in 1998. While at UHLC, he was selected as a member of the editorial staff for the Houston Law Review, the highest award attainable for any American law school student. Will also received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award (formerly the AmJur award), for finishing first in his class in Criminal Law.
Hobbies
When not representing clients and winning cases, Will enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including soccer and footsketball (a unique sport of his own creation), snow and water skiing, wake boarding, scuba diving (frequently with sharks), camping, hiking, fishing, target shooting, and hunting. On the tamer side, Will also enjoys a good game of chess or dominoes, along with meditating, reading, and especially, writing.
