Houston Attorney Benny Agosto, Jr. Named To Nation’s Top One Percent List By The NADC

Houston Attorney Benny Agosto, Jr.

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) — Attorney Benny Agosto, Jr., a partner in the Houston law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend, has been selected for the 2015 Nation’s Top One Percent list by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC). This organization recognizes attorneys who exemplify and raise the standards of the bar and provide a benchmark for other lawyers.

A panel of top attorneys from neutral organizations first nominates attorneys to appear on the NADC list. A research team thoroughly evaluates the proposed members, who are then approved by a judicial review board. This very selective process means that only the top one percent of lawyers in the country become members of the NADC, representing the leadership of the country’s legal profession.

Agosto, who is certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, has been recognized by many other legal organizations locally and throughout the state and country. Most recently, he received the Presidents’ Award from the State Bar of Texas (2015) and the President’s Award from the Houston Bar Association (2015). Houstonia magazine has named Mr. Agosto to its Top Lawyers – Personal Injury list since 2013. He received an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2014 and has appeared on the Texas Super Lawyers list every year since 2006.

He has also been recognized for his contributions to the Hispanic legal community. The Hispanic Issues Section of the State Bar of Texas has honored him with the Peter Torres, Jr. Community Service Award and the Outstanding Service and Leadership Award. He was a recipient of the ADL Civil Rights Medal from the Anti-Defamation League. He has also been named as the Hispanic Male Executive of the Year by the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Trailblazer Outside Counsel of the Year by the Texas Minority Counsel Program.
