Abraham Watkins Attorneys Selected For Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Personal Injury Award For Texas

Posted on May 18, 2016 by Larry Bodine

Brant Stogner(Houston, TX) The Houston personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend is proud to announce that firm attorneys Brant Stogner and Brian Humphrey have each received the 2016 Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award from the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys (NAOPIA). Mr. Stogner and Mr. Humphrey are among only eight attorneys in the Houston area who have been selected as recipients of the NAOPIA’s most prestigious honor for excellent representation of clients who have been injured.

Stogner is a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Attorneys.

The NAOPIA is devoted to honoring the top attorneys in each state for their accomplishments in personal injury law. The organization has a rigorous selection process when evaluating candidates for the Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award, and the attorney must meet the following criteria:

The attorney must have been nominated by either a licensed practicing attorney or one of the NAOPIA’s in-house research staff members.

The NAOPIA verifies that the attorney meets the minimum membership requirements.

The NAOPIA selects a small number of attorneys to advance to the final stage.

The final recipients of the award are selected by the Board of Governors.

Additional criteria are considered as well.

Mr. Stogner graduated in the top 15 percent of his class from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2006. He joined Abraham Watkins in August 2008 and is now a firm partner. He became board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization within his first five years of practicing law, a distinction very few young attorneys achieve. Mr. Stogner is of the 5 percent of lawyers in the state who have been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list, which he has been recognized on for three consecutive years.

Mr. Humphrey graduated cum laude from Campbell University Law School in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2010 and joined Abraham Watkins in 2012. He devotes his practice to civil litigation in personal injury and commercial matters and represents individuals who have been injured in all types of accidents, including car accidents, construction accidents, premises liability accidents, and more. Mr. Humphrey was recently recognized on the Texas Rising Stars list which signifies that he is among the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Texas age 40 or younger or who have been in practice for less than 10 years.

Abraham Watkins congratulates these two accomplished attorneys for their hard work and representation of clients who have been injured.
