Schurr had to have spinal fusion surgery due to his injuries and has been unable to return to his work as a high school coach since. Schurr is requesting damages in excess of $50,000 to fairly compensate him for lost wages, medical expenses, damage to property, and physical and emotional trauma.
The lawsuit states that Askounis is guilty of countless careless and negligent acts or omissions, including failing to use proper lane usage and driving the vehicle at an excessive and dangerous speed.
