An eight-figure settlement was awarded to a union mason steward seriously injured during rehabilitation work on the Longfellow Bridge.

A Middlesex County jury found the J.F. A jury found that the injured party, John Rooney, is to be awarded $26.6 million.

The verdict was delivered at the Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn on Wednesday.
