Man Sues Walmart After Claiming His Leg Was Partially Amputated by Pallet Jack

An Ector County man has filed a lawsuit against Walmart claiming his leg was partially amputated when he was struck by a loaded pallet jack being driven by a store employee.

According to the lawsuit filed last week in Ector County District Court, Samuel Tarango was sitting on a Walmart scooter in the electronics section of the Walmart on Loop 338 when the Dec. 14, 2020 incident happened.

“As a result of the unreasonably careless and dangerous use of the heavy pallet jack loaded with electronics, plaintiff Samuel Tarango sustained severe injuries, including the partial amputation of his right leg,” the lawsuit states.
