Greetings!
With great humility and enthusiasm, I address you as the 2025-26 President of The National Trial Lawyers (NTL). Our organization represents not just the pinnacle of trial advocacy, but the enduring spirit of justice that drives our profession forward. I am honored to serve and thank God for this opportunity.
As the son of public school educators, I learned early that true success comes through the power of shared knowledge and experience. This principle lies at the heart of NTL. Our strength comes not just from our individual accomplishments, but from the collective wisdom of trial lawyers who have scaled peaks, weathered storms, and emerged stronger – all in service of our clients and justice.
Our conferences and events are far more than traditional gatherings; they are crucibles of transformation where the nation's finest trial lawyers come together to share hard-won insights and innovative strategies. These are not merely opportunities for continuing education – they are chances to learn from those who have built successful law practices, from brilliant minds who have reshaped the landscape of trial law, and from justice warriors who go toe-to-toe with the most powerful interests in the United States and beyond.
In an era where justice often seems weighted toward the most monied interests, our members serve as the counterbalance, ensuring that every voice can be heard and every wrong can be righted. Our mission transcends individual cases; we are building a more just, more equitable, and more protective world for all.
I invite you to join me at our upcoming conferences and events throughout 2025 leading up to the 2026 NTL Summit. Together, we will continue to raise the standards of our profession, share the strategies that transform cases into causes, and forge the relationships that turn good lawyers into great advocates.
Thank you for your dedication to excellence and your commitment to justice. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we write the next chapter in the story of The National Trial Lawyers.
Very truly yours,
Douglas R. Beam
